We also believe in clear pricing which is why we display our prices online where many other funeral directors still do not. We can cater to all funeral needs whether it be a simple service or a more elaborate send off.
Below you will find our cremation prices including our simplest option for those looking for an affordable funeral in Hull and East Yorkshire, where all the essentials are included in the cost.

OPTION 1 - DIRECT CREMATION
- A direct cremation is a cremation without a service. It is an affordable option which can give families the flexibility to remember their loved one in their own way. A direct cremation can also provide the opportunity to have a back to front funeral where the cremation takes places first and then a service of remembrance with the loved ones ashes takes place after, at a time, date and location to suit the family. With NO compromise on our commitment to your loved one, the direct cremation includes:
- Our professional services.
- Viewing in our chapel of rest during office hours only.
- A hearse to bring your loved one direct from our premises to the crematorium.
- A ‘basic’ coffin.
- Direct cremation at local crematorium – with no mourners present.
- A simple ashes container is provided as standard.
OPTION 2 - SIMPLE CREMATION
- A simple cremation is our base funeral service which includes all the essentials needed for a simple, dignified ceremony for your loved one. The simple cremation includes and is broken down into the following:
- All our professional services.
- Collecting your loved one from place of death.
- Viewing in our chapel of rest by appointment.
- A Funeral Director and pall bearers on the day of the funeral.
- A hearse to bring your loved one to the crematorium.
- A traditional wood effect coffin.
- Cremation and service at Chanterlands Crematorium with a choice of the small or large chapel.
- Average cost of a celebrant or officiant to conduct the funeral service.
- A simple container for ashes is provided as standard from the crematorium.
Extra requirements such as limousines, flowers, newspaper notice, upgraded coffin etc… may all be added to our service for the relevant fees, some of which are set out at the bottom of this page. Alternative venues, such as churches or other crematoria will also incur different costs.
Payment for the simple cremation service is required in full prior to the funeral service taking place. We can give you advice regarding covering the costs of a funeral, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Below is an example of a cremation with some extras, such as an upgrade to a standard coffin, limousine, flowers and newspaper notice included.
OPTION 3 - TRADITIONAL CREMATION
- All our professional services.
- Viewing in our chapel of rest by appointment.
- A Funeral Director and pall bearers on the day of the funeral.
- A hearse to bring your loved one to the funeral service via the address of your choice.
- A ‘standard’ traditional veneered wood coffin.
- Cremation and service at Chanterlands crematorium with a choice of the small or large chapel.
- Average cost of a celebrant or officiant to conduct the funeral service.
- A limousine which seats 7 passengers.
- A simple container for ashes is provided as standard from the crematorium.
Below is a further example. This time of a horse-drawn cremation with the same additions of a standard coffin, limousine, flowers and a newspaper notice.
OPTION 4 - HORSE DRAWN CREMATION
- Our professional services.
- Viewing in our chapel of rest by appointment.
- A Funeral Director and pall bearers on the day of the funeral.
- A black horse-drawn hearse to bring your loved one to the funeral service via the address of your choice. (White horses and other carriage options also available).
- A ‘standard’ traditional veneered wood coffin.
- Cremation and service at Chanterlands crematorium with a choice of the small or large chapel.
- Average cost of a celebrant or officiant to conduct the funeral service.
- A limousine which seats 7 passengers.
- A simple container for ashes is provided as standard from the crematorium.
