Funeral Flowers
Flowers have long been seen as a way of expressing our feelings and can often form an important part of the funeral process. We work closely with local florists and if you would like us to, we can arrange the flowers on your behalf or we can simply give you some ideas to help you to choose the right floral tribute to your loved one.
Typically floral arrangements come in designs such as wreaths, sprays, posies and sheafs and contain popular flowers such as: lilies, roses, carnations and chrysanthemums. There are no rules however and our florists work with many different and often unusual varieties of flowers to create beautiful designs fit for the occasion. Flowers can co-ordinate a particular colour scheme, be made to match a theme or spell out a cherished name. Please ask to see our flower brochure for ideas or take a look online as there are many design ideas out there which our florists will do their best to recreate. Alternatively if there is anything else specific you would like in the way of flowers, please just ask us, we are always here to help.
Making flowers more eco-friendly
Many families now choose to ask for donations to a chosen charity in lieu of flowers or simply request to have family flowers only in order to reduce floral excess and waste. Taking this one step further we can also help you to source more eco-friendly, natural flower options if this is something that you would like. From hand-tied raffia sheafs to willow wreaths adorned with local wildflowers, these types of designs can be made to be completely biodegradable with no plastic, wire or foam used and are a much more sustainable option. Please ask us if you would like any help with greener floral options.
